How the Oracle Score works
The Oracle Score is a single 0–100 editorial planning grade that combines four underlying decision metrics. It helps you scan overall opportunity strength while still reviewing each input.
The Oracle Score is an editorial planning tool. It does not predict whether a business will succeed or guarantee income, profit, or personal fit.
Inputs and weights
- Opportunity Score: 55.00000000000001% — external market quality (demand, growth, scalability, defensibility, competition, regulatory/platform risk). Does not include profit margin, solo viability, or passive potential.
- Profit Margin Score: 25% — derived from the estimated operating-margin range with diminishing returns.
- Solo Viability: 15% — practicality of launching early as one qualified founder.
- Passive Potential: 5% — automation potential after the business is mature.
Labels
- 90–100 Exceptional
- 80–89 Strong
- 70–79 Promising
- 60–69 Selective
